Acquisition Announcement: When Rage Broke Heart by Nisha J. Tuli

Orbit signs new dystopian romantasy trilogy from Sunday Times bestseller Nisha J. Tuli
Joelle Dieu at Grand Central Publishing sold UK and Commonwealth rights to Nadia Saward while at Orbit UK, with Katie Dent editing. Madeleine Colavita, while at Forever, originally acquired world English rights from Lauren Spieller at Folio Literary Management, with Ghjulia Romiti editing.
The series begins with When Rage Broke Heart, which Orbit will publish in October 2027.
The series is a dark and twisted true-lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers romantasy trilogy full of betrayal, revenge, and the forces of fate, combining the repressive regime of The Handmaid’s Tale with the slow-burn angst of The Hurricane Wars.
Nisha said: ‘I’m absolutely thrilled to be working with Orbit UK again on my next romantasy trilogy. They’ve been an amazing partner on my publishing journey, and I can’t wait to see where we take When Rage Broke Heart next year.’
Katie added: ‘When Rage Broke Heart is a gritty, gorgeous mixture of terrifying dystopian worldbuilding and a slow-burn romance full of betrayal and yearning. I’m so excited to be working with Nisha on these books, and can’t wait for readers to meet Honor, North, and the rest of this brilliant cast of characters.’
