ORBIT ACQUIRES ‘DIVINE’ ROMANTASY DUOLOGY

Orbit UK has acquired the adult debut from Roseanne A. Brown, the New York Times bestselling YA author of A Song of Wraiths and Ruin. By Divine Rage, the first in a romantic fantasy duology, tells the story of a chosen one who rejects her fate to forge her own destiny fighting the oppressive regime that wants to sacrifice her to the gods. Senior Commissioning Editor Emily Byron acquired UK Commonwealth Rights from Tracy Williams at New Leaf Literary & Media (acting on behalf of Patrice Caldwell). By Divine Rage will publish in Spring 2027.

The novel tells the story of Eulia, worshiped by the people of Iridia as the Godsgift, the reincarnation of a powerful goddess who’s destined to return spring to their frozen land. When Eulia realizes she is no more than a sacrificial lamb, she decides to reject her destiny.  But the only way out is to team up with a cursed warlock with an agenda of his own and to embrace the sinful magic she was groomed to destroy.
